8 Steps to Transfer Outlook Express Emails to Outlook 2010

Microsoft Outlook Express was the most used, default email client on older Windows versions, and various users used it on a regular basis. It was easy to use, and with its simple design and quality features, it became the most favourite among users. Although Outlook Express isn’t accessible anymore with the advanced Windows version like Windows 10, you can still import all emails to the Outlook 2010. Before speaking with the Outlook customer support specialists, check this guide to transfer the messages easily and efficiently.

Know How to Transfer Outlook Express Mail to Outlook 2010

Before moving your email messages, you require opening the Outlook Express and finding the emails location on your hard disk. Here’s how to do:

1.             Launch Outlook Express program and select the Tools>> Options menu. Go to the ‘Maintenance’ tab.

2.             Click on the ‘Store Folder’ icon. A window will appear displaying you where your emails are saved. Copy the folder address and note it down, as it’s necessary for the further step.

Now, before finding the email messages, you need to disable the option to display hidden folders and files. To do that, check these steps:

3.             Go to the ‘My Computer’ icon and select the ‘Tools >> Folder’ options. Click the ‘View’ tab and locate the ‘Hidden files and folders’ section, and click on it, followed by the ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ button to save settings.

By activating hidden files and folder option, you can easily find your emails on the hard disk. Here’s how to do:

4.             Discover the folder where your emails are saved. You will locate the location under the Maintenance tab in the Express.

5.             Once you have found the folder, you should copy it to the detachable media like USB flash drive.

6.             Attach the USB to another PC that has Outlook 2010 installed and paste these files to the Desktop or any folder you can access quickly.

7.             Launch Outlook 2010 and select the ‘Open >> Import,’ and then choose import from different file or program and click the ‘Next’ button.

8.             Select the Windows Mail or Outlook Express 4x, 5x, or 6x and click the ‘Next.’ Find the files you imported from a USB flash drive and choose them to transfer appropriately.

Though the importing emails from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010 cannot be a simple process, you can move your email messages to your new system. However, if you find any difficulties in importing or moving the email messages and other account information, then you can speak with the professionals by calling on the Outlook customer service phone number and get your problems resolved within a short span of time. The Outlook customer support is available in almost all major cities of the USA and Canada, including Chicago, New York City, Boston, Seattle, Austin, Atlanta, etc.
