When
installing the Panda antivirus on Windows Vista, the installation process might
be canceled or failed in the midway either due to user’s choice or any other
reasons, such as power supply interruption, system errors, etc. At that time,
the operating system will install the security program in compatibility mode
for Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and shows you an error message on the window
forcing you to cancel the installation process of Panda program. If you have to
experience the similar kind of problem when installing the Panda product, then
you can acquire the solutions via the Panda Internet security support number. You can also continue with the steps
below to fix this conflict:
Step 1 –
Click the ‘OK’ button in the error message window asking you to cancel the
installation process for the Panda Security program.
Step 2 –
Change the compatibility mode manually, which is configured in Windows Vista
for a particular reason. For doing that, you need to modify the settings of
program installation files:
•
If you downloaded Panda program from its official
site, the installation file has the extension ‘PANDAGPESD.exe’ for Panda Global
Protection, PANDAAPESD.exe for the Panda Antivirus Pro and PANDAISESD.exe for
the Panda Internet Security. The file position can be different relying on the
location where it is saved.
• If you have installed the Panda product via the CD
drive, the installation files are placed on the CD. To get it, insert the CD
into the disk drive, launch the Windows Explorer and navigate to the CD path
that can be varied relying on the version you’re using.
• There are two Panda program installation files: setup.exe
and install.exe. Continue with the steps listed below with both files:
1. Right-click a file and choose the Properties option.
In the subsequent window, click the Compatibility tab.
2. In the section labeled as ‘Compatibility mode,’
deselect the ‘Run this program in compatibility mode’ checkbox. The combination
will be shown in the Windows XP Service Pack 2.
3. Click the ‘Show settings for all users’ link and
deselect the ‘Run this program’ checkbox in compatibility mode for the option.
4.
Click the ‘OK’ button at the end of the screen. Next,
execute the setup file again.
However, if
you are trying to install Panda Global protection program on your Windows PC
and often getting the error stating that it has been opened in the mode and
then installation process can’t be continued in this way, then you should look
for the alternative solutions if the steps mentioned above have not helped you.
In such a situation, you should instantly call on the Panda Internet Security phone number to get quick help and
reasonable solutions.
